I loved how my stay included easy access to Look Memorial Park, a beautiful space for walking and relaxing, and also being just a short trip to the Smith College Museum of Art, which had amazing exhibits. the room was quiet and easy to get to with convenient, at-door parking, making it perfect for a weekend getaway.

The bathroom door needs a proper solid door, the ceiling has peeling paint, and a larger TV would be appreciated!!! It felt more like a dorm than a refuge after a day out.

Upon arrival, I was hesitant due to the exterior, but my room exceeded expectations. The fridge, microwave, and comfortable beds made my one-night solo stay enjoyable. Quick check-in and nearby restaurant options for a delightful meal were highlights. Pro tip, don’t judge the motel by its first impression!

Request a room away from the main entrance for a quieter stay and better air quality.

The North King Motel is a hidden gem, with large, clean rooms and a super friendly staff. I particularly enjoyed the location—it was perfect for hitting up some local spots and grabbing a killer Manchego ratatouille at a nearby café.

While the overall vibe was nice, my room was a bit rough around the edges. The door was tricky, and I had some bathroom mold issues. A bit of hot water in the morning would’ve been ideal, but I felt safe enough.

For some relaxation, I enjoyed lounging by the fire pit and exploring the small garden area. The only downside was the air conditioning didn’t work quite right, but it wasn’t a big deal overall. 😊
